Job Details Job Location: Grand Pacific Vacation Services - Carlsbad, CA 92008 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $19.00 - $28.24 Hourly Job Shift: 1st Shift Position Summary/ Objective: Under the direction of the GPVS Supervisor and/or Manager, the GPVS Specialist will be responsible for providing superb service via telephone to guests and/or owners, ensuring their reservations for a wonderful resort experience. Associate will work independently or in a team under little to no supervision. This position relies on good judgment to perform the functions of the job. Primary Essential Functions: All associates are obligated to support and uphold the values, expectations, policies, and procedures of Grand Pacific Resorts as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Answer a high volume of inbound calls from guests and/or owners as well as outbound calls to confirm reservations, call owners and to share special campaigns. Support multiple brands of Grand Pacific Vacation Services (GPVS) and manage questions of timeshare owners. Meet and exceed guest and/or owner expectations by responding to questions and inquiries about resorts and making reservations for guests and/or owners. Navigate through three different systems and multitask while simultaneously speaking with guests and/or owners. Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. Adhere to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department. Qualifications Education, Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate must be an outgoing team player who is able to communicate well, multi task, learn new systems quickly and provide exemplary customer service to guests, owners, management and associates. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least 6 months of related experience, preferably within a call center environment. Telesales or sales experience. Professional telephone etiquette is required. Strong customer service skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in the hospitality industry (time share preferred). Ability to work well in a diverse team environment. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Required: Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing, background check, physical examination and drug screening test. Fluency in both written and verbal Spanish is preferred. Physical, Environmental & Other Requirements: Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours. Must be able to perform repetitive wrist motion required for data entry. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Clear vision (close, distant and depth perception) is needed for navigating office and all other buildings within the resort.
