Duties

  • Design and deliver comprehensive physics lessons aligned with curriculum standards for Grade 11 students
  • Develop engaging instructional materials that incorporate laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources
  • Assess student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and classroom participation
  • Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help in physics or related subjects such as math
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages inquiry, collaboration, and respect among students
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance assessments
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and enhance overall science education programs

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience teaching physics at the secondary school level is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts in an understandable manner
  • Experience with laboratory experiments and safety procedures in a science classroom setting
  • Knowledge of special education strategies to support diverse learning needs is a plus
  • Strong background in mathematics as it relates to physics principles is essential
  • Proven skills in tutoring or mentoring students to improve understanding and academic performance
  • Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources to enhance teaching effectiveness

Pay: $35.00-$60.00 per hour
