Southpointe is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and collaborative educator who is committed to inquiry-based and concept-driven teaching and learning. Reporting to the Junior School Principal, or designate, the temporary Classroom Teacher position will commence on August 21, 2025, and conclude on June 26, 2026, for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position is tentatively set for Grade 2, with final placement to be confirmed; candidates must be prepared to teach any grade from Kindergarten to Grade 5.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Education or Equivalent;
• BC Ministry of Education: Certificate of Qualification or Independent School Teaching Certificate.

• Model a strong work ethic, high standard of commitment, and maintain excellent professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, students and parents;
• Participate in community building events, both in and out of school hours;
• Offer expertise, experience and enthusiasm when leading or organizing co-curricular activities;
• Demonstrate strong pedagogical practice in literacy and numeracy;
• Promote and support the mission, vision and values of the school;
• Other duties as required.
  All Southpointe educators provide co-curricular activities for students by either devising their own programmes or participating in the school’s Athletics offerings throughout the different sporting seasons.
