Job Description: • Excellent benefits including salary packaging • Fitzroy location • Part Time, Fixed term Maternity Leave Position until December 2026 (32 hours per week) About the Role The Grade 2 Registered Nurse, under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager or Associate Nurse Unit Manager, will be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care in his/her specific area. The Grade 2 Registered Nurse will be responsible for ensuring his/her own professional development in order to maintain clinical skills and knowledge. Provide the full range of nursing services, including, but not limited to: •Manage physical and emotional well-being of the patient •Administration of medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies •Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unit •Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing progress •Liaise with patient, patient’s family, medical and ancillary staff as required or requested •Completion of Handover in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures •Effective admission and discharge processes in accordance with Hospital or Unit guidelines •Actively participate in mentor/preceptorship programs •In liaison with the Nurse Unit Manager, identify and implement educational needs of the Unit •Participate in ongoing education by attend training and study days as required or requested. Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69,253.60 - $92,601.60 pro rata per annum).
