REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English, enabling clear communication with a diverse student base.
  • Solid foundation in Mathematics, with the skill to break down complex topics into understandable concepts.
  • Educational background in Mathematics or a closely related field, holding at minimum a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Strong grasp of the Grade 9–12 curriculum, capable of guiding students through advanced assessments and exam preparation.
  • Passionate about supporting high school students, demonstrating patience and genuine care for their academic and personal growth.
  • Effective classroom management abilities, ensuring both small group and one-on-one lessons are organized and productive.
  • Flexible and adaptable, open to new teaching tools, evolving academic standards, and varied instructional approaches.
  • Collaborative mindset, eager to work alongside fellow educators and assist with additional teaching tasks as needed.
  • Prior experience teaching high school Math and Science subjects is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering meaningful engagement with students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Teach small group classes and private lessons to students in grades 9-12, focusing on Mathematics (if possible, one of these: biology, chemistry, physics)
  • Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to students’ academic levels and learning needs.
  • Provide clear explanations of challenging topics, including but not limited to algebra, calculus, mechanics, thermodynamics, chemical reactions, and biological systems.
  • Prepare students for exams, including standardized tests and advanced assessments in science and math subjects.
  • Use engaging and interactive teaching methods to enhance students’ problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding.
  • Provide regular feedback and guidance to support students’ academic growth.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and academic achievement.
