This is an Hourly position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Graded Exercise Technician attaches patients to electrocardiography machines and/or heart monitors to record electrocardiograms. Technician operates graded exercise stress monitoring equipment in order to provide data to physicians for use in diagnos¬ing and treating heart disorders/disease. In doing so, arranges equipment, gathers pertinent patient information, explains test procedure to patients, attaches leads and operates equipment. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED Equivalent. Prior experience as an EKG Technician, Monitor Technician or EMT. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EKG certification. Two years on the job experience in EKG interpretation. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
