GRADUATE ACCOUNTANT

A Graduate Accountant in a car rental company in Australia would typically be responsible for supporting the finance team with accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with compliance requirements. Their duties may include:

1. Financial Transactions & Record-Keeping

• Processing invoices, payments, and receipts
• Recording financial transactions in accounting software
• Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable

1. Payroll & Expenses

• Assisting with payroll processing, including superannuation and tax deductions
• Managing employee expense claims and reimbursements

1. Month-End & Year-End Reporting

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports
• Supporting the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements
• Helping with tax compliance, including BAS, GST, and payroll tax

1. Compliance & Auditing

• Ensuring adherence to Australian accounting standards and tax laws
• Assisting with internal and external audits

1. Financial Analysis & Budgeting

• Helping with budget preparation and variance analysis
• Assisting in forecasting financial performance

1. General Administrative Support

• Handling finance-related inquiries from customers and suppliers
• Maintaining financial records and documentation for audit purposes
