Job Description We're seeking applications from recent graduates (within last 12months) who are ready to build their skills and grow within a supportive finance team. As part of the Organisational Enablement Directorate, the Finance team is committed to accuracy, transparency, and continuous improvement, so our frontline teams can focus on delivering great care. Your role, your impact As our new Accounts Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your work will directly support the teams delivering health, disability, housing, counselling, and mental health services, helping them make informed decisions and continue providing high‑quality care to the people and communities we serve. You will: Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, from invoice entry to generating payments via BPAY and EFT Reconcile creditor statements and follow up on outstanding items Ensure accurate approvals and purchase orders are in place before payment Maintain organised and compliant financial records, aligned with our archival policy Provide timely financial information to internal stakeholders Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring documentation is clear and accessible Assist with month-end activities, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team, contributing to workflow efficiency and shared goals Participate in continuous improvement, helping strengthen our systems and processes This is a role where your attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and ability to build strong working relationships will have a meaningful impact every day. Who we’re looking for You’re someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work. You bring: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to adapt to evolving systems and processes Clear and respectful communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders This is a great opportunity for graduates who are eager to learn, develop their technical skills, and contribute to meaningful community‑focused work. Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and GST Qualifications Bachelor level Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
