JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Graduate Apprentice - Operations to join our Quality Assurance department based in Dunfermline on a 4-year Fixed Term Contract. Working in the Quality Assurance team, the Graduate Apprentice will be involved in various projects and initiatives, designed to drive improvements in product quality. The Graduate Apprentice will develop a full understanding of all aspects of Operations Management including Manufacturing, New Product Introduction, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs throughout their apprenticeship. Whilst working at Optos, you will also be studying towards a BA(Hons) Business Management Degree at Robert Gordon University. The course is delivered in a blended manner with remote learning 1 day per week, and workplace based 4 days per week.

WHAT SKILLS WILL I LEARN?

The Graduate Apprentice will spend time in each area of Operations gaining a deeper understanding of the business and the skills required to effectively manage projects, solve problems, and work cross functionally to ensure product quality is of the highest standard.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS OR QUALITIES ARE REQUIRED?

  • SQA Higher; BBBC.
  • Practical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Working experience of Microsoft packages; Teams, Excel, Word etc.
