The AI team at ABN AMRO is looking for a Graduate AI Engineer with an innovative mindset, feel for business and entrepreneurial drive. Do you want to work at the forefront of the changes in the financial services industry and develop disruptive Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions? Then we have a challenging position for you!
You’ll work directly with entrepreneurs and business counterparts to bring AI solutions from idea to production. We are looking for creative and passionate people with a “go get it” mentality. Our AI Engineers are multi-skilled and have strong machine learning, system design and coding skills combined with an understanding of the business context within which AI solutions are embedded.

YOUR PROFILE

As an AI Developer/Engineer in the Strategy & Innovations teams of ABN AMRO you are a “blended experience expert”. You won’t be a Data Scientist nor will you be an IT Engineer yet you’ll need to have an interest in both skillsets and be highly motivated to master both. You’ll need excellent problem solving skills to be successful in this role by being able to translate complex business problems in tangible AI solutions.
Therefore we are looking for a candidate who can show us this blend in prior experiences obtained throughout their side jobs/studies/hobbies.

Experience

• You have a recent Masters degree in the field of Artificial Intelligence, (advanced) Data Analytics, Mathematics or Computer Science. Or will finish within 3 months.
• You have hands-on experience with coding, this can be Backend, Frontend, Full-stack or API development creating end-to-end solutions for an internship, side-job or hobby
• You are familiar with the ‘tools of the trade’, e.g. Python, Databricks, Git…
• You are up to date on the latest developments within AI and can guide others in finding optimal solutions

Personality profile:

• You have a sense for business, and understand how AI and machine learning deliver value
• You are pragmatic and value-focused, e.g. not afraid to work with existing solutions to reduce time-to-market
• You are able to communicate effectively with technical and business counterparts
• You are a teamplayer that requires minimal steering to be productive
• You are up to date on the latest developments within AI and can guide others in finding optimal solutions
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are a self-starter.
