Job Description The Office of Teaching, Learning, and Mentoring Excellence (OTLME) at Walden University seeks currently enrolled Walden masters or doctoral level students for the 10-hour per week position of Graduate Assistant-Postdoctoral Fellowship. The Postdoctoral Fellowship GA role is designed to support three fellowship tracks: teaching, research, and leadership. This learning role is designed for a motivated graduate student who demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and research skills, and who is committed to Walden’s mission. The GA will work closely with division of mission fulfillment teams, postdoctoral fellows, faculty mentors, and program leadership to support the success of fellowship initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, the Postdoctoral Fellowship GA will: Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and engagement activities for fellows and other stakeholders. Engage in specific program activities and fellowship team meetings. Track and evaluate program initiatives and outcomes for reporting, assessment, and future planning. Create resources and supplemental materials. Commit approximately 40 hours per month (10 hours per week) to this role. Submit quarterly reflections based on goals. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Technical, Managerial, and People Skills Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate professionalism and interpersonal skills to build connections and respond effectively in team and individual settings. Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook). Flexibility to adapt to feedback and evolving program needs. Excellent problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to details. Ability to compile, analyze, and report data at regular intervals. Skilled in conducting online research, including navigating web searches, library databases, and knowledge bases. General knowledge of the Walden learning management systems and search tools. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Must be a current, active Walden masters or doctoral student with at least three quarters or two semesters of enrollment, currently in the coursework stage of the program (not capstone, practicum, or dissertation stage). Must be in good academic standing with the university, with 3.5 GPA and no holds on student account. Develop and/or maintain content on a SharePoint site. Must demonstrate that she/he/they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Preferred: Prior experience teaching, coaching, and/or mentoring, participating in research, and project management.
