What do our Graduate Civil Engineers do?
As a Graduate Civil Engineer based in Stantec’s Auckland office, you will be working on projects that ensure we manage all 3 waters safely and sustainably. From ensuring clean fresh water is delivered to our communities, to managing wastewater to protect the environment, to preventing flooding across neighbourhoods during storms, we’ve done it before.

  • Stormwater hydrological and hydraulic assessments to design road drainage and culvert details for Cyclone Gabrielle Recovery.

Some of our day to day tasks include:

  • Assessing stormwater catchments and peak flows for different design storm events
  • Civil pipeline design for new 3Waters networks across Auckland
  • Site visits to understand real life constraints and opportunities for development
  • Using CAD/Civil3D software to develop designs and assist with drawings.
  • Using design software to analyze hydraulics of pipelines
