About the role: As the Graduate Data Engineer, you will work on building and evolving Chrysos’ data platform using Snowflake and AWS. You will gain hands-on experience across: Data ingestion pipelines Cloud infrastructure Data modelling and warehouse design Data quality and governance Supporting scientists, engineers and analysts What you will do: Data Platform & Ingestion Supporting ingestion from operational systems and telemetry sources Working with AWS services (e.g. S3, Glue, Lambda) Learning infrastructure-as-code concepts Monitoring pipeline health and reliability Warehouse & Modelling Designing and building data models in Snowflake Developing curated, business-ready data marts Supporting Python, Power BI and Grafana users Implementing data validation and testing practices Engineering Practices Working with Git-based workflows Participating in code reviews Writing documentation Learning modern data tooling (e.g. dbt) Working within Snowflake and AWS environments Contributing production-ready ingestion or modelling code Understanding our data domains (operational, scientific, telemetry) Participating meaningfully in architectural discussions Who you are: Essential A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science / Engineering Demonstrated interest in software or systems development through university projects, internships or personal work Strong problem-solving ability Understanding of databases and data structures Solid programming skills (Python, SQL, or similar) Interest in cloud technologies and distributed systems Desirable Curiosity and ownership mindset Ability to reason about systems Comfort with ambiguity Willingness to learn from feedback Who we are (Our values): Safety is a Non-Negotiable - Safety isn’t just a value — it’s our way of life.
