THE PERSON:

We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design engineering graduate to join our team and work towards design, built, and delivery of AMD’s high-end products.
The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for hardware development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology, as well as having excellent communication and presentation skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• You are a recent graduate or expect to graduate in 2025 from a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• A self-starter and team player, with a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
• Experience in HDL design on FPGA platforms is an advantage.
• Experience with industrial standard devices e.g. Ethernet TCP/UDP, PCIe and Memory architectures DDR/SDRAM/DMA.
• Scripting language experience such as Python, TCL, Bash is an advantage.
• Digital /Logic circuits and VLSI
• Proficient with Verilog or VHDL hardware description languages
• ASIC/FPGA design
• Digital Signal Processing
• Digital Communications
• Linux/Unix environment

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a fast learning, dynamic digital design engineer to join the Custom & Strategic Engineering team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.
This position will offer a career path within a fast-paced environment where you will develop your skills working with cutting-edge AMD products, FPGA technology, tools, and next‑generation architecture.
You will join a team whose architecture and systems activities cover a wide range of disciplines including datacenter applications, telecommunications, machine learning, and high speed data processing systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply technical and analytical skills to develop scalable and performant solutions for packet processing systems targeting AMD state-of-the-art products
• Collaborate closely with multiple teams and Project Managers to deliver highly scalable, durable, and innovative solutions
• Collaborate with Design Engineers and mentors
• Participate in RTL design in Verilog
• Synthesis and timing closure
• Some other tasks may include analysis of logical equivalent check (LEC), RTL clocking analysis, static power analysis, and design for test (DFT)
• Pro-actively work with peers in technology and design reviews
• Work cross functionally across teams to identify and assess complex technical issues/risks, and develop solutions
