Responsibilities

As a Graduate Engineer in the Energy Transition team, you’ll be involved in:

  • Supporting project teams in the delivery of engineering and design work across various project stages, including both design and construction phases.
  • Attending meetings with clients, suppliers, and design team members to observe and contribute to discussions, helping with the preparation and coordination of technical documentation.
  • Provide technical and commercial support for the development of sustainable infrastructure solutions to compliment REDs building services design
  • Assistance with undertaking surveys, tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations. Undertaking site surveys and support for due diligence reports
  • Work with the Central Engineering and R&D teams to assist with incorporating new technologies and tools into the Energy Transition market
  • Continuously update knowledge of the products provided by the Red Central Engineering team and how these can be used to win projects and provide new services
  • Assist with site energy, water and waste audits as a first step to develop new energy transition projects including attending site visits
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest technologies and regulations relating to demand side reduction, renewable energy generation, energy storage and electricity grid connections and initiatives.
  • Agree and implement a personal development programme with line manager including identification of internal and external training requirements.
  • Solve problems involving different technical and/or management options when demanded by different situations, using wherever possible existing company tools
  • Contributing to innovation efforts by helping research modern technologies and supporting the development of ideas in collaboration with the R&D team.
