WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’re looking for a graduate with:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in power systems or related fields. However, exceptional graduates with strong academic results and proven internship experience will also be considered.
• A solid theoretical understanding and interest in power distribution engineering, network planning, and asset management, gained through a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (ideally power systems or similar).
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude, with a keen desire to learn and contribute to projects.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks and projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Graduate Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support across a variety of functions, including asset engineering, network planning, and performance analysis. This is a multifaceted role that will give you a solid grounding in power distribution engineering and the opportunity to manage small, low-risk network projects from start to finish.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the analysis of asset condition and maintenance data, contributing to asset management decisions.
• Supporting the preparation of work scopes and designs for network reinforcement and asset replacement projects.
• Conducting load flow simulations and supporting network modelling.
• Contributing to network performance analysis and troubleshooting power quality issues.
• Helping to develop and maintain technical standards and specifications for distribution network design and maintenance.
• Managing and delivering small projects, using business project management processes.
