ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Familiarity with camera systems, sensors, and DAQ technologies (e.g., FLIR, Pixhawk, NI DAQ, IMUs).
  • Basic experience in cable and harness design, including selection of connectors, shielding, EMI/ESD considerations.
  • Understanding of embedded systems, serial buses (UART, SPI, I2C), and high-speed digital interfaces (USB, Ethernet).
  • Capable of working with tools like Altium, KiCad, or Eagle for schematic reading/editing.
  • Basic data analysis skills using Python, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Strong technical writing and reporting ability.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

  • Exposure to aerospace or defense standards such as:
  • MIL-STD-810 (environmental qualification)
  • MIL-STD-461 (EMC compliance)
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 (cable harness quality)
  • DO-160 (for airborne systems)
  • Experience with Linux-based systems, Raspberry Pi, Jetson, or other embedded platforms.
  • Experience in startups, hackathons, or open-ended engineering projects.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a hands-on Graduate Electronics or Computer Engineer to join our fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering team developing advanced payloads, sensor systems, and data platforms. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and candeliver practical results under limited guidance – ideal for a startup-ready, problem-solving engineer.
You’ll be working across payload integration, camera and sensor systems, data acquisition (DAQ), harness design, board-level electronics, and system-level testing, while contributing to technical documentation and compliance processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Integrate and validate payload systems including cameras, sensors, DAQ hardware, and embedded computing platforms.
  • Design, build, and test electrical cable harnesses and interconnect systems based on system requirements and MIL/aerospace standards.
  • Develop data acquisition pipelines, including sensor calibration, data logging, signal integrity, and basic data analysis.
  • Interpret and develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents.
  • Assist in board-level testing, troubleshooting, and system bring-up.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and system integration procedures.
