Key Responsibilities of this varied and rewarding role include :

• Supervise and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, fostering professional development.

• Undertake the role of Design Manager, reviewing design outputs for conformity to customer requirements, standards, time, and cost constraints.

• Develop discipline-based growth plans and recruit team members in line with the plan.

• Mentor, coach, and produce design guides and technical notes to allow team members to leverage expertise.

• Share knowledge to continuously improve the efficiency and technical capability of the section.

• Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with Australian standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439), Water Corporation guidelines, and relevant statutory regulations.

• Maintain a focus on continuous review and improvement of quality processes and best practice design.

To really excel in this role, you’ll require :

• A degree in electrical engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.

• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia.

• Knowledge of Water Corporation’s Design and Construction Standards and Western Australia’s water management regulations.

• The ability to build and maintain constructive internal and external working relationships to support delivery of identified business outcomes.
