Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  2. Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOM’s Graduate Program.
  3. Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
  4. Available to start in September 2025
  5. As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only
    UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer at AECOM, you will be immersed in real project work from day one. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to the planning and design of complex building systems. Your focus will be on developing safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems that meet the evolving needs of modern buildings – supporting everything from power distribution and lighting to smart technologies and energy solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the design and specification of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire

alarms, and communication networks

  • Support the integration of energy-efficient solutions such as LED lighting, smart controls, and solar PV

systems

  • Contribute to BIM model development and collaborate with other disciplines including architecture,

mechanical, and structural teams

  • Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements, design briefs, and relevant codes

and standards

  • Help deliver sustainable and innovative solutions that contribute to high-performing, resilient, and

intelligent buildings
