At Plessey, we are looking for exceptional graduates to join our Engineering teams. Plessey is an embedded technologies developer at the forefront of the microLED technology for augmented and mixed reality (AR/MR) display applications. Plessey announced the exciting news in March 2020 that we partnered with Meta (formerly known as Facebook) to help achieve their vision of the next computing platform centred around people.
The successful candidates will work in a small team of engineers, supporting the day-to-day operations. During your training you will follow a training plan and will be mentored by your line manager, while gaining the skills and knowledge you will require. As well as your technical responsibilities you will need great communication skills as you will be interfacing with professionals from both inside and outside the company.
The position is based at our high tech manufacturing site in Plymouth. To apply you will need a degree in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry or Electronics.
During your training period you will work Monday to Friday from 8:00am until 16:30pm, with an hour for lunch. The successful candidates may be required to work some form of rotating day shift pattern (shift premium payable) after completion of the training period.
