At our C&D Foods site in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford we have a requirement for passionate Graduate Environmental Officer to join our team and contribute towards our sustainability goals and environmental management initiatives

The Graduate Environmental Officer will receive training to effectively complete the following with a direct career path for progression to Site Environmental Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

3rd Level Qualification in any of the below relevant disciplines:

• Environmental Science
• Ecological and Plant Science
• Environmental Engineering
• Geography
• Geophysics
• Chemistry

• Day to day monitoring of the wastewater treatment plant on site.
• Involvement in projects to reduce the carbon footprint through both capital expenditure and continuous improvement.
• Collaboration with the engineering department on the day to day running of the business’ facilities in relation to both operation and sustainability
• Collaboration with the production department on the day to day running of the business regarding both operation and sustainability
• Collaboration with group sustainability both in C&D and the wider ABP Group in relation to sustainability
• Daily monitoring of all parameters outlined in the sites EPA license for environmental emissions.
• Ensuring all sampling programmes for discharges are carried out.
• Interpreting energy and water-related data for the site and using this data to identify trends.
• Upkeep of all environmental, waste and energy related documentation.
• Organising of any required infrastructural improvement works relating to environmental equipment with relevant contractors.
• Liaising with environmental regulatory bodies such as the EPA, should they contact the site for any reason such as a Site Audit.
• Coordinating with environmental and energy legislation.
• Managing of noise and pollution control.
• Identifying possible water-reduction projects around the site.
• Identifying possible energy-reduction projects around the site.
• Presenting of sites overall Sustainability performance to head management.
• Retention of the sites ISO14001 & ISO50001 standards.
