Graduate Fire Engineer
Location: Hybrid – Manchester or London Offices
Bureau Veritas is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join our team of technical specialists. This is a strong opportunity for recent graduates looking to begin their career with a globally respected organisation known for its engineering expertise and client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of fire safety solutions across a range of sectors. Your role will include:

  • Building and maintaining industry relationships and awareness of fire engineering opportunities
  • Contributing technical input to proposals and tenders
  • Managing fire engineering projects, including team coordination, timelines, and budgets
  • Liaising with clients, design teams, and regulatory bodies
  • Attending project meetings and adjusting delivery plans as needed
  • Preparing fire strategies and supporting projects from concept to completion
  • Conducting fire engineering analysis (e.g. smoke modelling, radiation, structural) and reviewing third-party work
  • Providing design and construction support, including site visits
  • Producing clear and accurate technical reports

Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and standards (e.g. Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991, BS 7974)
  • Solid analytical and report-writing abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other standard office tools
