Description

Location: UK-wide with site travel (can be based from wherever but ideally close to M4)
Company: Aqua Terra Consulting Ltd.
Do you enjoy being outdoors, exploring new places, and working on projects that make a real difference to the environment? Aqua Terra Consultants Ltd is looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our friendly and growing team.
What the role involves

This is not your typical desk job. While you’ll spend some time writing up technical reports, a big part of your role will be getting out on site. That means:

  • Working outdoors in all weathers, carrying out peat surveys and geotechnical/geo-environmental site investigations, and occasionally staying away overnight when projects require it.
  • Collecting and recording data carefully in the field, then using your IT and report-writing skills to turn it into robust technical outputs.
  • Using ArcGIS or QGIS to map, analyse and present environmental and geological data.
  • Working closely with colleagues and clients, building good relationships and communicating clearly.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need years of experience – we’ll provide full training and mentoring – but you do need to bring the right attitude and enthusiasm. Ideally you’ll have:

  • A degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geography, or a similar subject.
  • 0–3 years of experience (this can include placements or internships).
  • A full UK driving licence and car (essential, as you’ll be travelling to sites).
  • Confidence with IT and some familiarity with ArcGIS or QGIS. Experience of technical writing, so you can produce clear and professional reports.
  • A love of the outdoors and a willingness to put the miles in on foot, even when it’s wet, windy, or muddy!
  • Strong social and interpersonal skills, you enjoy working with people as much as you enjoy the technical side.
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK

Why join us?

At Aqua Terra Consulting Ltd., you won’t get lost in a big corporate structure. We’re a small, supportive team where you’ll quickly get to know everyone and have the chance to make a real impact. You’ll gain:

  • Varied, hands-on experience across a wide range of projects.
  • Training, support, and mentoring to kick-start your career.
  • Opportunities to combine your love of the outdoors with meaningful environmental work.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.

If you’re looking for a role where no two days are the same – and where you can balance fieldwork in some of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes with technical problem-solving then we’d love to hear from you.
