ABOUT THE ROLE:

BWB Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a graduate heritage consultants to join our expanding team with significant plans for growth within an ambitious business. The team’s success has been built on helping clients deliver sustainable, viable and implementable schemes on complex sites across multiple sectors. The Heritage Team is based in Leeds but has a national remit which seeks to expand. We would like you to be part of the growth as we support you as you start your career in heritage consultancy.
As part of the CAF Group, BWB deliver large scale international projects with environmental requirements. From tender and award of contracts to the construction phase. BWB’s involvement in these projects range from early feasibility, pre-planning surveys and assessments to developing and implementing mitigation to support the discharge of planning conditions. Supporting the Heritage Team and developing your skills on projects both locally and throughout the UK as required you will be:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Working from our Leeds office providing support to the team on a range of archaeological/heritage services during all aspects of the development cycle;
  • Supporting the team by contributing to fee proposals and tenders opportunities as they arise by engaging with our supply chain;
  • Contributing to heritage and archaeological projects with support from senior colleagues;
  • Sourcing and processing historic environment record data and contributing to written reports through the production of baseline text and supporting figures;
  • Communicating with sub-contractors, clients and stakeholders with support from senior colleagues;
  • Helping the team develop fieldwork and mitigation strategies and with support visiting sites to monitor progress;
  • Supporting the team at various stages of project completion with concurrent deadlines and competing demands;
  • Communicating effectively and working collaboratively as part of a team within the wider BWB business; and
  • Delivering a high-quality service to clients, with a focus on cost-effective and innovative solutions.
