Job Description:
At IPS, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We are looking for Graduate I & C Engineer to join our team out of our office located in Birmingham UK.
This position will report through department leadership. The assignments contain specific tasks on project teams and these individuals are expected to use their education, intelligence and common sense to resolve the engineering problems and tasks they are assigned. However, more experienced staff are always available to help when the Graduate Engineer needs help.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Understands and applies UK, EU Standard Regulation
• Actively collaborate with the process design and project teams to support execution of successful project studies
• Develop and design control system architecture, control philosophy, instrument datasheets/lists and cable schedules with support from a Senior Engineer
• Prepare typical I&C deliverable packages based on project requirements e.g. IFR, IFI, IFD, IFQ, IFP, etc. with support from a Senior Engineer
• Demonstrate collaboration with other engineering disciplines e.g. HVAC, Process, Electrical & BIM.
• Experience in any or all of the following but not essential: ATEX, Motor controls, CAD, PLC, GMP, DCS, Comms/Interfaces, Interlocks, SCADA, Block/Loop/Wiring diagrams, P&IDs,
• AF&IDSs and SOOs.
• Selects equipment based on recommendations of Project Designer/Engineer and fill out equipment schedules.
• Provides drawing for own designs and produces sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters.
• Researches design options and document findings for Project Designer/Engineer.
• Provides information to Project Designer/Engineer for incorporation into specifications.
• Review and give feedback on stakeholder drawings.
• Familiar with code issues and ability to ask general questions would be advantageous.
• Organizes and maintains project files. Maintains a neat and organized work area which allows efficient access to information required by other team members.
• Assures that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.
• Keeps Project Manager informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services.
