Responsibilities As a Graduate Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and commissioning of instrumentation, automation, and controls systems. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all phases of engineering—from concept and design through to field commissioning and testing. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development of I&C designs: calculations, P&IDs, schematics, cause & effect (C&E) diagrams, loop diagrams, wiring, and control strategies. Produce drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and others. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams to integrate instrumentation and control systems. Help during construction, perform site inspections, assist with commissioning, and test & balance. Troubleshoot systems, support system startups, and assist in resolving programming or hardware issues. Participate in design reviews, vendor coordination, and quality assurance checks. Continuously learn industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. Strong understanding of control theory, sensors, instrumentation fundamentals, and automation systems. Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and instrumentation documentation (P&ID, loop diagrams). Solid written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a collaborative team setting. Desire to learn from senior engineers and take on increasing responsibility. FE/EIT certification (or intention to obtain) is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience or internships in instrumentation, controls, or automation engineering. Knowledge of digital automation structure (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and control programming logic (e.g., ladder logic, function blocks). Background in process systems, HVAC control, or building automation is a plus. Exposure to field devices (pressure, temperature, flow sensors, actuators, transmitters).
