Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design Functional Solutions: Solve engineering problems with innovative, practical designs.
• Full Design Lifecycle: Manage designs from initial concept and detailed specification through to the final working packs for the build team.
• Technical Drawings: Create accurate part and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards, including UKCA, CE, and Machinery Directive requirements.
• Mechanical Specifications: Develop comprehensive mechanical specifications for production equipment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Engineering Knowledge: Practical experience or strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
• CAD Expertise: Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Manufacturing Awareness: Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes like milling, turning, grinding, and fabrication.
• Education: NVQ/HND/BTEC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Organized & Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Problem Solver: A creative, solutions-driven approach to solving complex engineering challenges.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible & Adaptable: Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt within a dynamic work environment.
  Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate
  Pay: £10,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
