As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Graduate Mechanical Estimator to join a very busy growing team to work out of out Birmingham office.

JOB BRIEF:

• We are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Estimator to assist with the estimation of commercial mechanical related tenders.
• The ideal candidate should be analytical and have strong numerical skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity within the mechanical trades, materials and their costs would be advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relevant mechanical degree.
• Previous experience within the industry is advantageous.
• Working knowledge and experience of Microsoft office applications.
• Excellent numerical skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in the preparation of Tenders by analysing proposals and requirements.
• Assist in preparing sub-contractor enquiries for various mechanical trades.
• Gathering and analysing quotations to make sure they cover the specification and drawings with the Senior Mechanical Estimator.
• Support in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and proposals in Microsoft Excel.
• Participate in the evaluation of sub-contractors and supplier quotations.
• Assist in maintaining and updating our approved sub-contractors and supplier’s database.
