Job Description The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine. Key tasks and responsibilities: Performs troubleshooting and investigative metallurgical/operational duties as required to ensure Process Plant is optimized Conduct metallurgical test works and provide technical support to the Operations department to improve Process Plant performance Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations, and other compliance obligations of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System (IMS) Prepare reports on projects for current and future process refinements as directed by the Senior Metallurgist or Metallurgical Superintendent Monitors and evaluates Process Plant parameters to identify and act upon potential risks or improvement opportunities Collaborate with engineering and maintenance personnel to effectively deliver project requirements Performs efficient data and cost-benefit analysis Proficiently uses PI and DCS to monitor process plant performance and improve process operation through effective automation Liaise with external consultants, researchers, laboratories and other sites to improve technical knowledge with the main objective to efficiently operate the process plant Qualifications Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way Fresh graduates in BS metallurgical engineering are encouraged to apply No work experience required Strong demonstrated abilities to lead and work effectively within culturally diverse workforce settings Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills Goal-oriented and Values driven Additional Information WHAT'S ON OFFER: Competitive salary Accommodation and food provided on site Travel provided to and from work Health Insurance Living Our Values recognition program Access to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Exceptional working environment where people are valued and respected Eligibility to Work: To be considered for this role, you must have valid working rights in the country where the role is located.
