About the role
The Graduate Mining Engineer position at Evolution Mining is designed to provide practical experience in both underground and open-pit mining environments. Responsible for the design, planning, monitoring, and reporting of mine production and coordination of activities to ensure compliance with the plan, procedures and standards. The primary objective is to equip graduates with hands-on experience in various aspects of mining operations. Our Mining Engineering Graduates are expected to complete a tailored program consisting of a combination of field and office time at two different operations across Australia.
Graduates with an interest in pursuing an underground mine managers ticket or open pit quarry managers ticket will have the opportunity whilst on the Graduate Program, aligned to the Western Australian legislation.
During the first year, graduates will rotate between different roles, spending six months in each environment, and after this period, they can choose their preferred pathway—either underground or open-pit.
The level of success and growth will depend on the individual’s engagement and collaboration with supervisors and colleagues. Evolution Mining supports each graduate in striving for their career goals and ensures the necessary resources to help them succeed.
