We are currently seeking a Mine Geologist who will play a crucial role in the planning, organising and executing of daily geological activities at our Woodie Manganese Operations.

DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Geological mapping and interpretations.
  • Ore reconciliations as a part of end of month and end of pit production reporting;
  • Close liaison with mining personnel to ensure smooth and efficient mining activities;
  • Creating Short Term Geology model.
  • Periodic planning and supervision of grade control functions across various pits (RCGC)
  • Supervision of Pit Technicians.
  • Adopting a proactive approach to site safety procedures.

The successful applicant will have the following skills, qualifications & experience:

  • Proven experience working in an Open-Pit Mine Geology site based role;
  • Tertiary qualifications specifically relating to Geology/Earth Science
  • Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures.
  • National Police Clearance (No older than 6 months).
  • Proof of vaccination (Covid-19 Digital certificate PDF document issued by the Australian Government).
  • Manual C class drivers’ license.
