Graduate Operations Executive Department: Supply & Trading Employment Type: Full Time Location: Gibraltar Description Kick-start your career in Cargo Operations with our exciting two-year graduate opportunity based in Gibraltar. From day one, you’ll gain hands-on experience on the Operations desk, working closely with experienced professionals and collaborating with teams across our global offices. You’ll play a key role in the continuous monitoring of terminals, cargo sales, purchases and barge logistics and responsibility for all post-trade activities. This is a unique chance to work in a dynamic trading environment while building a strong foundation in Operations and working toward your Certificate in Bunkering Operations & Management, fully supported by us. Upon successful completion of the programme and certification, you’ll have the potential to transition into a permanent role. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Closely coordinating with counterparties including shipping agents, cargo suppliers/customers, surveyors, and Cargo traders for following the operations properly. Endeavour to provide notice of potential issues to trading teams as well as proactively look for solutions. Staying current with all relevant industry news. Ensure local customs procedures are fulfilled. Proactively chase for vessels ETA, Cargo docs, invoices, and other relevant documentation from all parties involved in the operation. Advising of port dues, calling costs and other related costs at the point of quoting, and following through to ensure correct invoicing. Ensuring Bunker Delivery Notes, invoices, and other relevant documentation is promptly actioned, checked and verified. Providing timely updates of vessels to be supplied to all parties involved. Organisation and monitoring of daily terminal/loading operations. Supporting local and worldwide traders within the company Closely coordinating with all other departments; fleet management & shipping ops for daily operations, Finance teams, system teams, etc. Proactively work on relationships both external and internal. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s (minimum 2:1) or Master’s degree completed in the last 2 years, ideally in Maritime, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or Business Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong level of Excel Demonstrable interest in Commodities, Shipping or Financial markets (extra-curricular activities, work experience, internships) Professional level of English British or EU Passport holder
