Job Description

As a Graduate Technical Purchaser, you will play a vital role in our technical purchasing projects, specifically focusing on hydraulic radial piston motor components. You will collaborate with experienced colleagues to drive initiatives that enhance our procurement processes providing essential support in administrative tasks.

• Take ownership of technical purchasing projects, working closely with team members to ensure successful outcomes
• Generate and monitor requests for quotations using our Pilum system.
• Engage in technical discussions with suppliers, preparing and conducting meetings while ensuring effective follow-up with the support of your colleagues.
• Assist in coordinating sampling processes with suppliers and technical departments, ensuring accurate maintenance of our IQS central systems
• Prepare sourcing decisions within a global procurement landscape
• Provide administrative support to the team, ensuring smooth operations
• Act as a liaison between project buyers, business units, and suppliers, representing the purchasing department in the Product Development Process (PEP) and identifying opportunities for cost reductions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering or similar
• Has the ability to build effective and strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues, customers and suppliers
• Is proactive, tenacious, results driven
• Excellent communication skills, high level of self-motivation and commitment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages especially excel
