The salary range is £24,000 - £27,500 per annum. The actual salary will be decided based on experience.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Planner (Town & Regional Planning) to join our expanding team in Lockington, near Derby and Nottingham. We are seeking a talented individual to help support the continued growth of the practice, working on a wide variety of development projects across the UK. We are looking for a Planner who has recently graduated, and has an interest in diversifying beyond pure planning. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop expertise in Landscape Planning, working with the team on Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Green Belt Assessment, providing planning input into feasibility and capacity of potential development sites, and supporting the team in preparing projects for planning applications.
You will be part of a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary team of Landscape Architects, Landscape Planners and Urban Designers, working closely with our Architects, Ecologists, and Arboriculturists. Our collaborative and joined-up approach consistently delivers design and environmental excellence for clients across many sectors.

To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate the following capabilities and experience that are essential for the role:

  • A degree in Town Planning (RTPI accredited UK course), with 0-2 years professional experience.
  • A good understanding of the planning system (England and Wales)
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word.
  • The ability to think creatively to innovate and problem-solve collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects and tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • UK driving licence with access to (or willingness to obtain) a private car for site visits.
