We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Production Engineer to join the team here at Hunter Douglas.
The Graduate Production Engineer is required to maintain regular communication with colleagues within the Technical / Quality Team, and across related teams such as Manufacturing, Maintenance, Procurement, and R&D.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• Degree in Production / manufacturing engineering
• Knowledge of process improvement methods (e.g.: Lean, Six Sigma)
• Experience of CAD and automation software (inc. AI tools) would be beneficial
• Critical thinking and innovative problem-solving to address and resolve production challenges quickly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to detail

• Use lean manufacturing or Six Sigma techniques to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Analyse and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support investigations into Quality defects and drive corrective actions
• Leading New Production Introductions into manufacturing
• Provide technical support & training for production operatives & Team Leaders
• Develop, maintain and improve product technical / Quality specification.
• Work closely with R&D, Quality Control, and Production Management teams to ensure smooth production operations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during production
• Provide technical support to Customer base.
• Assist and drive Automation of processes /data analysis Via Digital tools (AI and Machine learning)
• Creation of Internal Bill of materials for each product type
