Who Are CPP?
CPP is a leading high-voltage infrastructure provider, connecting renewable energy projects to Australia’s electricity grid.
As a member of Quanta Services, a Fortune 200 company, we specialise in the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of substations, transmission lines, wind farms, and battery storage systems.
Established in 1996, we’ve connected more wind farms and renewable batteries than any other company. With over 700 employees and offices in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, we partner with Australia’s major transmission providers to deliver innovative, end-to-end solutions.
Join us in shaping the future of energy.
Engineer Your Career.
At CPP, our Project Engineers make sure HV and renewable energy projects run smoothly. They support the project from start to finish and act as a bridge between the design engineering team (who plan the project) and the field team (who build it).
The Charles Wright Graduate Program will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience across Project Engineering, Engineering Design (primary, secondary, SCADA), Testing & Commissioning and Site Construction. Rotating across each of these disciplines, you will have the opportunity to build a broad understanding of engineering project management, technical engineering, testing/commissioning, whilst preparing you for opportunities for advancement at CPP.
The duration of the program is 2 years where you will work on projects under the supervision of some of the most experienced Electrical Engineers in the industry, gaining hands-on exposure on major HV construction projects across Australia including HV substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Windfarms.

The Perks of our Program

  • Travel to one of our interstate Engineering Hubs and our flagship projects to gain valuable exposure network with more experienced engineers.
  • Additional training offered internally and through Engineers Australia.
  • Contribute to industry-leading projects and take ownership of key components, making a real impact from day one.
  • Annual CPP Graduate Conference held at one of our main offices where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with the entire graduate cohort.
