ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering
  • Current driver’s licence (C class minimum).
    And most importantly … demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers!
    Those candidates successful in progressing past interview stage will be required to undergo a Pre-employment process including National Police Clearance and Medical Screening which includes drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Graduate Reliability Engineer, from either a Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline, to join our two-year Graduate Reliability Program based in Perth, Western Australia. This program is designed to build your technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities in the field of mining equipment reliability.
Working within the Technical Services Group, you will focus on analysing complex datasets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to improve the performance and reliability of Liebherr’s mining fleet. You will contribute to solving real-world reliability challenges, preparing high-quality technical reports, and supporting initiatives that enhance asset availability and reduce downtime.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, participate in field trials, and engage directly with customers and factory stakeholders. Over the two years, you will gain a deep understanding of reliability engineering principles, develop advanced data analysis skills, and apply your engineering knowledge to make a measurable impact on operational efficiency.

SKILLS AND DUTIES:

In this role, you will:

  • Apply advanced data analysis techniques to evaluate equipment performance, identify emerging reliability issues, and recommend improvement actions.
  • Prepare detailed reliability reports and presentations, focusing on production truck performance and other key Liebherr mining equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and the factory to communicate findings and support the resolution of technical issues.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with reliability improvement objectives.
  • Participate in field testing, performance trials, and root cause analysis investigations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Technical Services Group.
  • Ensure reliability-related notifications, campaigns, and recommendations are captured, distributed, and implemented effectively.
  • Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and promote safe work practices at all times.
