Description
Wordsmith AI is the fastest-growing Scottish startup to reach a $100m valuation. Founded just 2 years ago, the company has already secured significant Series A funding led by Index Ventures and is trusted by global names such as Trustpilot, Deliveroo, Remote.com, Multiverse, and Docplanner. This is to join as a Sales Development Representative based in Edinburgh. Wordsmith is building the world’s first Legal Enablement Platform — an “air traffic control system” for in-house counsel and legal teams. With fleets of AI agents, the technology helps general counsels cut deal cycles, scale their expertise across the business, and transform legal from a bottleneck into a growth engine. Backed by investors and governments alike, Wordsmith is at the forefront of the $50bn legaltech market set to reshape how enterprises work. G MASS Consulting are proud to be partnering with Wordsmith for their Q2 intake of Commercial Sales Development Representative Associates. Our ambition is global. To achieve it, we are assembling a commercial team that is as ambitious and high-calibre as the markets we serve. Why Wordsmith? This is not a typical early-career role. It is a rare associateship designed for high performers who want to launch a career at the intersection of sales, growth, and AI. If you have proved yourself in a demanding environment and want to accelerate into B2B SaaS, Wordsmith offers a training ground, a platform, and a trajectory few companies can match. The Role The Commercial Associate program is a selective entry point into B2B SaaS sales and growth at the highest level. You’ll gain rigorous training, steep responsibility, and a fast track into leadership. As an Associate, you’ll learn how to sell in an AI-native world — combining classical sales excellence with the leverage of cutting-edge technology. You’ll rotate across the key levers of modern go-to-market: Outbounding: Designing and executing targeted campaigns at senior executives. Lead Nurturing: Building relationships and trust with prospective clients. Direct Sales Execution: Supporting and owning elements of the enterprise sales cycle. From this foundation, you will have clear pathways into roles as an Account Executive, Growth Strategist, or even Legal Engineer — a new profession born out of the AI revolution. Highly-motivated graduate from a leading University Commercial Drive: A clear motivation to pivot into sales, business development, and growth. Academic Record: Outstanding performance at a leading university. Skills: Exceptional communication and influencing ability. Structured analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven resilience and stamina under pressure. Organised, disciplined, and results-oriented. Mindset: Ambitious, entrepreneurial, and hungry to win. Energised by pace and intensity. Motivated by impact and ownership. Dedicated team player, we win together or not at all. Compensation: £30,000 + £15,000 bonus (£45,000 OTE) Elite Training: Rigorous development in enterprise SaaS sales, growth strategy, and AI-native workflows. Career Trajectory: Fast track into Account Executive roles, growth leadership, or legal engineering. Exposure: Direct collaboration with senior leadership and access to top-tier clients. Momentum: A seat on one of Europe’s most ambitious AI companies at a formative stage. Culture: High-performance, high-energy, defined by ambition and excellence. This role is based in Edinburgh and is 5 days a week in the office. Please only apply if you're based in Edinburgh or willing to relocate by Mid-May.
