We are looking for a Graduate Sales Engineer to service our customers in the Dublin/Leinster region. This will be an entry level role to help you enhance your sales and technical skills while helping our customers reach their goals. We focus on teaching 3 main areas including ifm solutions, the manufacturing industry, and our sales process.

The role involves the following tasks.

  • Account Discovery - The successful candidate will target new potential clients with the objective to learning of their challenges. Once identified we need to offer ifm solutions to help improve their automation processes. This is done through onsite face to face visits, and conducting virtual meetings to build a relationship for long lasting business.
  • Technical support/Consultation – With our application and engineering knowledge we would advise the customer with the How, Where and Why. We would also need to advise in an after sale capacity, or if they have issues in their system.
  • Project management. To be successful we need to be able to work a project from discovery to closing. Some examples of the stages might be account or application research, presentation to the customer, developing the solution with all relevant contacts, fine tuning the solution or special pricing tendering a proposal to win. Further management might then be required to align delivery to suit the customer and assistance on installation.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to work within a variety of manufacturing industries and different applications, so no two days will ever be the same.
We have a top class team here in ifm Ireland that comes together weekly to work as a unit on internal and external projects. The rest of the week is spent onsite or meeting with the customer virtually over MS Teams.
Ifm is more than a component supplier……We want to supply the complete automation package onsite, so we hire only qualified engineers to provide the best quality service.
The ideal candidate will be a self-driven, motivated, technically minded, professional and with a customer service minded attitude.
Knowledge from studies or industry on Electrical wiring, PLC fieldbus wiring, Sensor technology, Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering would be an advantage but not essential. Full product and system training will be provided.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Full driving license.
  • Working visa for full time hours in Ireland.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering/Electrical/Automation or equivalent.
  • 0 to 2 years of professional sales or industrial automation experience preferred
  • Available for near immediate start.
