DESCRIPTION

Monex Financial Services is a global leader in the provision of multi-currency payment processing and foreign exchange treasury and reconciliation services. The Monex Information Technology group build technical solutions that power that business. As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for building new product features and enhancing our existing product suite while continually seeking to enhance our technology platform.

The successful candidate will:

  • Design, write and deploy scalable code using C# and the .NET platform.
  • Employ a test-driven mindset to ensure high quality code with automated test coverage.
  • Develop and test software prototypes for proof-of-concept activities.
  • Update and improve existing software platforms within the organization.
  • Design and develop data access solutions with Microsoft SQL Server using Entity Framework, T-SQL and stored procedures.
  • Create documentation on our internal wiki to capture problem statements, business requirements and technical solutions.

The candidate should have:

  • Knowledge of the .NET framework with C# or another language such as VB.NET or F#.
  • Some industry or work placement software development experience.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with software and architecture design patterns.
  • Basic knowledge of Web APIs, HTTP protocol.
  • Relational database management system concepts, database entity design and knowledge of SQL.

Familiarity with the following would also be beneficial:

  • Agile methodologies
  • Unit testing and test-driven development
  • Continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Understanding and experience with cloud technologies on the AWS platform

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-tasking, demanding environment as a member of a high-performance team.
