We are a boutique law firm in North West London, specialising in Family Law and Wills & Probate. Our small, supportive team offers close mentorship and hands-on experience, allowing you to gain real-world legal skills while completing the BPP Graduate Solicitor Apprenticeship.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Law degree (LLB or equivalent)
  • Strong interest in Family Law primarily and Wills/Probate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to full-time office-based work (Mon–Fri, 9:30–5:30)
  • Previous use of LEAP software is desirable but not essential
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Solicitor Apprentice to join our office-based team.

  • Start in an admin/paralegal role with guidance from experienced solicitors.
  • Progress into paralegal and SQE Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) tasks during the 30-month apprenticeship.
  • Gain practical experience in client-facing matters, case management (using LEAP), and drafting legal documents.
  • Complete the SQE1 and SQE2 exams through BPP while working full-time.
  • The starting pay is the apprentice rate (£6.40/hour) for Year 1. From Year 2 onwards, pay will increase to at least the National Minimum Wage in line with legal requirements and apprenticeship milestones.
  • By the end of the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to qualify as a solicitor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with live casework and general case management.
  • Draft letters, applications (including but not limited to divorce & child arrangements), Wills, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare court bundles and attend client meetings remotely or in person.
  • Research case law in Family and Probate matters under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records in LEAP case management software.
  • General administrative support as needed.
