Commencing in June 2026, the Graduate Support Worker position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your professional skills and make a difference. The Graduate Support Worker will be a member of a multi-disciplined team using holistic approaches to support Depaul service users. Working within the principal of harm minimisation where residents receive a high degree of care, support and dignity, Depaul has a commitment to service user participation and to empowering residents to manage their own lives.
This role works across a 7-day week rota.

At the end of the twelve month programme graduates will be able to:

  • To work as a member of a multi-disciplined team in the best interests of the residents and report to team
  • To encourage and support service users to develop skills in managing their daily living.
  • Observe and attend key worker sessions with service users when required
  • Provide a Presentation on experience of Graduate Programme

PERSON REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualification in the Social Care field- Social Care, Psychology, Social Science, Criminology or Community Development
  • Relevant experience - student placement or relevant voluntary experience in the Social Care sector required
  • Process an understanding of why people become homeless and the issues they present with, understanding what supports can be offered in homeless services to service users with complex support needs
  • Have a knowledge of the statutory and voluntary sector resources available to homeless people
  • Be a good communicator and computer literate
  • Knowledge and understanding of Depaul vision mission and values.
  • Ability to work shifts
