The Role SMEC is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Surveyor to join our Urban Communities team in Geelong. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in surveying while working on a diverse range of projects across the region. As part of our growing and well-established Geelong survey team, you’ll support new and ongoing projects and gain hands-on experience under the mentorship of our Licensed and Senior Surveyors. We’re looking for motivated, reliable graduates who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a highly skilled and professional environment. Your project exposure will span urban and land development, residential subdivisions, and major infrastructure projects—providing a strong foundation to shape your career pathway and develop your technical and professional skills. Key Responsibilities Undertaking cadastral, feature, setout, as built and reality capture surveys Preparation of plans and point clouds / 3D models. Proactively collaborate with team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of project deliverables Actively contribute to the commercial success of projects and the team Ensure surveying tasks meet SMEC’s technical standards and client requirements About You Professional survey industry experience Relevant professional survey qualifications or undertaking a qualification High-level understanding of spatial information & mapping The ability to contribute to our team based company culture with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Current Australian driver’s licence How to Apply To apply, click on the "Apply Now" link and follow the prompts.
