Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll work side-by-side with skilled teachers and therapists to support pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Each day, you’ll help children build confidence, develop communication skills, and engage positively with learning.

In this varied, classroom-based role, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with autism, communication needs, or sensory differences
  • Encourage focus and participation through structured routines and visual supports
  • Adapt classroom tasks to suit individual learning needs
