SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will have good IT skills, including the use of MS Office and databases supported by proficiency in English Language. You will be able to collect, process, analyse and present complex data and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate efficiently in a variety of formats to different audiences is essential for this role. You will have a methodical approach to your work and good attention to detail, whilst working accurately and to tight deadlines. It is essential that you are able to deal with sensitive material with strict confidentiality and maintain a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
You will have a can-do attitude to problem solving, working effectively within a team setting maintaining flexibility and adaptability to team and workload requirements. You will be expected to work with tact and diplomacy and be able to build rapport with students. You will need to be willing to escalate concerns and issues where appropriate, deal with conflicting priorities with appropriate supervision and demonstrate initiative and the ability to learn new skills. A strong commitment to ethical practice and high levels of professional conduct are essential in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

You will be educated with a Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification in the discipline or related discipline

Responsibilities

The Graduate Teaching Fellow will work under the support and guidance of qualified members of the programme team, contributing to the organisation and implementation of the academic components of the curriculum including clinical simulations, assisting with the coordination and preparation of module teaching and learning activities. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s equality, diversity and inclusion strategy across the programme. You will support with activities related to placement allocation and scoping, support student engagement activities within the department and support research activities. You will be required to join relevant programme sub-committees and undertake a range of general academic administrative duties, whilst maintaining effective electronic or manual systems with particular regard to quality audit requirements.
