Feral Interactive is looking for a proactive programmer to help develop our suite of internal web-based applications and online services.
We specialise in bringing AAA games to new platforms and audiences; our releases cover a range of genres and present a number of challenges in the development process.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects that underpin the company’s processes, improve workflows, and enhance the gaming experience of Feral’s customers. Working as part of Feral’s Tools team you will contribute to a wide range of applications, from company-wide productivity and management tools, through external partner portals and on systems which interact directly with our games in the wild.
We are a small but expanding company with a current team of around a hundred and twenty people, so you’ll quickly get to know your colleagues. You will have the support of our more experienced developers and can look forward to a collaborative working environment. Due to the nature of our work we can maintain a small company attitude with a large company output.

This is a permanent, full time position at our studio in Wandsworth, southwest London.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• A good degree in a technical discipline or similar, demonstrable experience
• Experience with Java and SQL
• Understanding of JavaScript and HTML/CSS
• Good written and verbal communication

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with scripting languages (for example, PHP or Python)
• Knowledge of Java Servlets, JSPs, or Bootstrap
• Comfortable using the UNIX command line
• An interest in computer games
• A determination to do your best work all the time
