Job Description

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography
  • A Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography or Transport Planning would be an advantage
  • Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates (no later than Sept 2025) to be eligible for AECOM’s Graduate Program.
  • Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.3 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.
  • If you hold a Master’s degree, it must have started within 12 months of finishing your Bachelor’s to meet the program’s continuous education requirement.
  • Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for the program and are encouraged to apply for our professional-level roles instead.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Transport Planning or traffic engineering modules or experience would be an advantage
  • Ability to demonstrate a good technical understanding of Transport Planning
  • Demonstrable interest in Transport Planning and developing a career in this industry
  • Membership of a professional institution or society such as CIHT, ICE or TPS
  • Good Microsoft Office skills essential such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing with the confidence to engage with a variety of people (clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors alike) and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss technical issues and capture feedback
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, with ambition and drive
  • Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team as a whole
  • Ability to work in a team and independently without losing initiative & focus

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in data collection and analysis
  • Reviewing and building transport models using various modelling tools
  • Planning and evaluating future transport schemes and master plans
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals
  • Attending meetings and workshops with clients and members of other disciplines.
