JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Business, or related field. Professional certifications are a plus.
· Experience: Professional experience in an accounting or finance role is highly valued.
· Technical Skills:
o Knowledge of cost accounting principles, technical expertise, and best practices.
o Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant tools.
o Exceptional skill in Microsoft Excel regarding data extraction, queries, formulas, pivot tables and presentation of data.
o Demonstrated precision in handling numerical data and data entry tasks.
· Soft Skills:
o Self-disciplined with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
o Strong data analytical and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

· Financial Management: Manage and reconcile inventory and grain transactions, contracts, and invoices, ensuring compliance. This includes managing Daily Position Reports (DPR) through grain end of day, settlements, and grain checks.
· Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and submit reports and other financial documents as required by clients and internal stakeholders.
· Risk Management: Ensure policy and regulatory compliance, support audits with documentation, perform bank reconciliations, and mitigate financial risk in inventory and grain transactions.
· Valuation: Maintain accurate records of inventory and grain, including raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods. Assist in physical counts and count reconciliation. Assist inventory team with accurate inventory control.
· Standard Accounting: General accountant abilities including precision in tracking and analyzing costs and working on the back end of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.Ensure cost accounting practices align with internal policies and regulatory standards. Conduct regular audits for accuracy.
· Standard Costing: Develop and update standard costing models. Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor variances.
