Position Summary: The AGC Grain Milling operator, Swing Shift, is responsible for the operations portion of the plant that includes following food safety regulations and guidelines. Monitors and operates process control equipment, including valving, packaging, and engineering. Interprets plant procedures. Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Setup and changeover of cleaning line equipment. Analytic skills to evaluate material defects versus equipment malfunctions trouble shooting. Cleaning of line in between products and after each product run. Review product specifications and set up the machinery to match the specs. Review of line and adjacent areas to be sure of cleanliness and that nothing is obstructing the product and/or machinery. Review product line components, labels/settings and advise supervisor of any quality issues. Comprehend the function and troubleshooting of each piece of equipment including its capabilities and limitations. Complete paperwork at the end of each product run and the end of each day. Meet and/or exceed production goals and guidelines for the product being run. Understand and use machinery manuals to their full capacity when needed. Monitor and adjust the equipment line in a manner consistent with safety and production needs to ensure optimum efficiency. Cross over to other areas and departments as needed. The CPLT lead will serve as the back-up in the absence of the CPLT operator. Qualifications Qualifications: High School Diploma Minimum 3+ years in quality/food related production Strong communication skills Ability to analyze and make decisions Position Requirements: Must have some mechanical and mathematical aptitude Must be proficient in reading, speaking and writing in English for the purpose of record keeping, safety and quality training processes. Knowledge of lot numbering system a plus, but will train Ability to multi-task between assignments and prioritize workload Ability to operate a forklift Capable to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be detail oriented and maintain a clean/organized production area at all times Must be a team player and self- motivated Must be able to work on your feet for 8 hours a day including bending, reaching, climbing, etc. Must be able to work well with other departments Knowledge of basic computer skills Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed Food Safety Policy: Adams Group is committed to producing and distributing high quality products through adherence to industry and regulatory standards.
