KIT Recruitment is continuing our successful partnership with our client in the agricultural/farming industry, currently seeking a Grain Plant Supervisor to oversee full-spectrum operations in North Battleford, SK.
This role manages all aspects of plant activity—production, storage, and distribution of pulse products—and requires a confident, hands-on leader with strong decision-making and people management skills. Ideal for candidates who thrive both independently and within a collaborative environment.

GRAIN PLANT SUPERVISOR - QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in grain elevator or agricultural processing environments
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Familiar with ag-sector safety regulations and compliance
  • Proficient in operational software and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and team-building ability
  • Physically capable of handling grain-related tasks
  • Problem-solver with technical knowledge and resourcefulness

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations including receiving, grading, storage, and shipping
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate timely, accurate distribution
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to manage shipment coordination
  • Lead, train, and support staff including operators and maintenance team
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback
  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
  • Enforce safety protocols and stay current with industry regulations
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs and machinery upkeep
  • Optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Work with QA teams to uphold product standards
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, farmers, and clients
  • Ensure smooth transactions and proactive issue resolution
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare production reports for leadership
